Erasmus Costs & Funding

While studying abroad you must consider some additional costs. Some of the most common a as follows:

1. Tuition Fees
2. Student Finance
3. Cost of Living Abroad
4. The Erasmus Grant

1. Tuition Fees

As an Erasmus exchange student, you do not need to pay tuition fees to your host (receiving) university, but you are still eligible for tuition fees to your home University. It means that taking an Erasmus semester abroad will not reduce your fees to your home University.

2. Student Finance

As an Erasmus exchange student you should have access to student finance (Polish government loans or grants) that you would usually be eligible for.

3.Costs of Living Abroad

As Erasmus Year (or Semester) is not a “free” year staying abroad, you should spend some time researching the average costs of living at your chosen destination or ask International Office or Erasmus coordinator.

4. The Erasmus Grant

Bielsko-Biala School of Finance and Law students participating in Erasmus exchange programme are eligible for the Erasmus Grant. This Grant is a kind of gift (a contribution towards the cost of studying) from the European Commission to students interested in studying abroad. The Erasmus grant is paid in two instalments, on a €uros/month calculation. the amount of the grant depends on the country in which the student intends to study.

Erasmus grant payments are made after all the correct paperwork has been returned to the International Office in Bielsko-Biala School of Finance and Law.
