International academic cooperation plays a pivotal role in the modernization and global integration of higher education institutions. Within this framework, Erasmus+ KA171 serves as an essential mechanism for fostering cross-border collaboration, knowledge transfer, and professional development.

Between January 27 and 31, 2025, the Bielsko-Biala University of Applied Sciences (ANSBB) had the pleasure of hosting Assoc. Prof. Nazar Hlynskyi and Assoc. Prof. Oksana Dovhun from the Department of Marketing and Logistics at Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine). The mobility program, structured around lectures, consultations, and academic discussions, provided an opportunity to exchange expertise and enhance the didactic methodologies employed by both institutions.

The primary goal of the Erasmus+ KA171 mobility was to share best practices in marketing education and humanitarian policy programs, particularly in the context of modern pedagogical approaches. Given the increasing complexity of contemporary educational challenges—such as adapting the learning process to unforeseen crises—academic cooperation of this nature offers invaluable opportunities for comparative analysis and innovation.

Furthermore, the exchange served to strengthen the positioning of Ukrainian higher education within the global academic community, enhancing its visibility and relevance in the international market of educational services.

Beyond institutional benefits, such initiatives contribute to:

  • The professional development of faculty members.
  • The expansion of students’ academic perspectives.
  • Exposure to diverse teaching methodologies and interdisciplinary discourse.
  • Fostering critical thinking, stress resilience, and emotional intelligence.

Throughout the mobility, Assoc. Prof. Hlynskyi and Assoc. Prof. Dovhun conducted a series of lectures tailored to the evolving needs of students in the field of marketing. The program was designed to address both theoretical foundations and practical applications, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

Lecture topics included:

  • Fundamentals of marketing and the evolution of marketing concepts.
  • Modern approaches to product marketing.
  • Regional and local marketing strategies, including territorial branding.
  • Personal branding and self-marketing in professional development.

The final day was dedicated to student consultations, allowing for in-depth discussions, personalized academic guidance, and the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

The academic mobility experience yielded several key outcomes:

  • Exchange of innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Reinforcement of interdisciplinary and international marketing education.
  • Expansion of students' analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Development of soft skills such as adaptability and emotional intelligence.

On a broader scale, the collaboration between ANSBB and Lviv Polytechnic National University exemplifies the strategic role of academic mobility in fostering long-term institutional partnerships. By deepening mutual cooperation and increasing participation in international projects, such initiatives contribute to the modernization of higher education and the creation of a more interconnected academic community.

The Erasmus+ KA171 program remains a vital tool for advancing global academic cooperation, facilitating knowledge transfer, and enhancing the internationalization strategies of higher education institutions. The recent visit of Assoc. Prof. Nazar Hlynskyi and Assoc. Prof. Oksana Dovhun to ANSBB illustrates the profound impact that cross-border collaboration can have on curriculum development, professional growth, and student engagement.

As higher education continues to evolve in response to global challenges, initiatives of this nature will remain instrumental in shaping the future of academic exchange and interdisciplinary learning.
