On February 27-28, 2023, the International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Ukraine in the Space of Social Communications: Society, Media, Reflections of War” (to the anniversary of the heroic resistance of Ukrainians to the Russian invasion) will be held online at the State University of Trade and Economics, dedicated to discussion of issues of peace and war in the media discourse, analysis of media reflections on Russian invasion of Ukraine, study of social communications under conditions of war, in particular the realities of journalism, advertising and public relations, understanding of infodemic, information wars and confrontation of narrative discourses, development of media education and media culture, discussion of innovations in training specialists in the field of social communications.

THE MAIN TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE:

• issues of peace and war in scientific and practical media discourse;
• Russia’s war against Ukraine in covering of Ukrainian and foreign media;
• the impact of war and crisis on the development of journalism, advertising and PR;
• the image of Ukraine and Ukrainians in perception of foreign media;
• realities of information war, effective counteraction to manipulation in the media and fact-checking;
• modern military journalism: Ukrainian and foreign experience, history and present in covering of wars;
• wartime narratives, their history and peculiarities;
• information dimension and media reflections of the religious sphere in wartime;
• trends in the development of social communications in modern Ukraine and in the world;
• media education and media culture, innovative educational technologies in the training of journalists, advertisers and PR specialists.

Scientists, specialists in the field of social sciences and humanities, theorists and practitioners in the field of social media and PR-communications, representatives of domestic and international public organizations are invited to participate in the conference.

CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION

• After registering the application, you will be sent a link to the conference, which will take place on the Zoom platform.
• The conference program will be sent to participants by February 26, 2023.
• The online meeting of the conference will take place on February 27-28, 2023, according to the schedule of plenary and sectional meetings.
• For publication in the collection of conference materials, the text of the report must be sent to the secretary by April 10, 2023.
• All conference participants will receive an electronic certificate.
• The conference proceedings will be assigned a DOI.

REQUIREMENTS FOR MATERIALS

The name of the file must correspond to the name of the first author of the materials (Ivanko_thesis). Materials are accepted in the format of a Microsoft Word document. Languages: English, Ukrainian, Polish. Volume up to 3 pages.

Basic requirements:

• book orientation, formatting on width;
• document margins: right and left – 25 mm, top and bottom – 20 mm;
• font – Times New Roman 14; interval – 1.0;
• formulas are in Equation editor;
• figures are grouped.

Text structure:

1. title (bold, in the middle of the page);
2. surname and initials of the authors (no more than three in bold, on the left);
3. information about the authors (academic degree, academic title, place of work / study in full) (on the left, size – 14, without selecting);
4. keywords: in the language of original / in English;
5. text;
6. list of references.

Bibliographic references should be drawn up in accordance with DSTU 8302:2015 or APA (American Psychological Association).
